I still recommend having a pretty decent computer or laptop to run everything at once, especially if you have mods, cc, and multiple expansions. ReShade features its very own shading language and compiler, called ReShade FX.The syntax is based on HLSL, adding useful features designed for developing post-processing effects: Define and use textures right from the shader code, render to them, change renderstates, retrieve color and depth data, request custom values like timers or key states. It’s basically an updated version of ReShade and it’s still totally FREE. GShade runs MUCH better with The Sims 4 making it way more gameplay friendly. However, the difference between GShade and ReShade is playability. You might be asking why though? Aren’t they the same thing? Because that was my initial thought too.
